From June 22nd to June 26th, in Partnership with ChalkRow Ventures and the support of Runtime Revolution, we hosted VentureOutGermany, This was our first one-week NY Market Accelerator program for German tech startups!
On Wednesday, June 25th, we hosted Hackers & Hefeweizens (a German Tech Night), featuring an incredible panel of investors and entrepreneurs , including Albert Wenger, Union Square Ventures, Angela Lee, 37 Angels, Joy Meyer, ExecThread.org, and Philipp von dem Knesebeck, K5 Ventures.

Albert Wenger is a partner at Union Square Ventures. Before joining USV, Albert was the president of del.icio.us through the company’s sale to Yahoo and an angel investor (Etsy, Tumblr). He previously founded or co-founded several companies, including a management consulting firm and an early hosted data analytics company. Albert graduated from Harvard College in economics and computer science and holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from MIT.
Angela is an educator, entrepreneur, and angel investor. She has started several companies in the education sector. Currently she teaches Leadership and Strategy courses at Columbia Business School and is their Executive Director of Teaching Excellence. She has 15 years of experience in marketing strategy and innovation. Her work has been featured on Bloomberg TV, MSNBC, Forbes, and CNBC. Angela has a BA from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Joe Meyer is an experienced start-up CEO, and former executive at several high-growth digital companies including HopStop (acquired by Apple), Quigo (acquired by AOL) and eBay, with a proven track record of launching new businesses, growing traffic, increasing engagement, raising venture capital, recruiting teams, scaling revenue and achieving liquidity. Joe was named Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012 by Crain's New York Business, and was #9 on Business Insider's 2013 "Silicon Alley 100" list (of the Top 100 executives in the NYC tech industry). Joe was also on the Board of Directors of Kalexo (acquired by Autodesk) and Belief Networks (acquired by Benefit Focus), and Board of Advisors of Adtuitive (acquired by Etsy). Joe is also the Co-Founder of ExecThread (http://www.execthread.org), a premium career network for high-calibre executives.
